| Turning Wind and Solar Projects into a Reality
Rooftop Solar Lease Program
Prompted by the generous Ontario Feed-in-Tariff program, the company entered
into strategic relationships with leading Canadian commercial real estate
developers and management companies in order to secure rooftop leases in
Ontario for its photovoltaic (PV) renewable energy systems. The program
involves securing long-term lease agreements for commercial rooftops, in
exchange for attractive lease payments to the building owners. The program
also offers the opportunity for building owners to joint venture on
individual projects.
The program has proven to be very effective. The company is well on its way to securing 100 commercial rooftops in 2010, with the intentions of securing another 200 in 2011. Each individual Rooftop Solar Energy Park will consist of approx 50,000 s/f in size, and will generate approx 250Kw of solar electricity each.
The location details pertaining to these projects of which are confidential
under the industry standard Non-Disclosure Agreements.
While maintaining full and/or partial ownership in these Rooftop Solar Energy Parks, the company is guaranteed to secure 20-year Power Purchase Agreements through the Ontario Power Authority (OPA), covering half the life of the project, whereby promising a steady stream of revenue for the next 20-40 years.
Rooftop Solar Sales & Installations
In addition to the companies "Rooftop Solar Lease Program" the company also
supplies and installs complete turn key Rooftop Solar Systems, to be owned
and operated entirely by the purchaser/client. These systems are completely
designed and installed through Atlantic Wind and Solar's 100% owned Cdn.
subsidiary Atlantic Solar Inc.
Wind Projects
Currently negotiating a Partnership agreement with a patent-holding
technology company, Atlantic Wind and Solar is proposing to manufacture a
new type of wind technology more suited to lower wind speeds, safer in high
winds, and faster to deliver than the current market options. These turbines
will service large projects at industry-changing prices per kilowatt hour.
Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Atlantic Wind Energy (AWE), the company also plans to spin off a separate public entity, with the intentions to own and operate multiple wind energy parks in Ontario and abroad.
The Bahamas Electricity Corporation
Atlantic Wind and Solar is in the follow-up stage of a proposal the B.E.C to
begin replacing a portion of the country's traditional electricity supply
with power from renewable sources. The proposal combines both Solar and Wind
technologies.
Pizza Pizza- Hybrid
In 2009, Canada's largest restaurant chain, Pizza Pizza, had commissioned
the first Hybrid Renewable Energy Supplemented Data center in North America.
The groundbreaking system was constructed over a period of 6 months and
utilizes Aim Energy's high yield/high energy output inverter technology.
The data center is located at 500 Kipling Avenue in Etobicoke, Ontario.
